In July, the Rotary Community Workshop continued to build more than just timber projects — it built connections, creativity, and community pride. From a magical reading tee-pee for local children to handcrafted frames and polished placemats, members brought skill and heart to every piece. Read on for highlights from another month of meaningful hands-on impact.

Delivery was made this week 17th July to the Thorndon Park Kindergarten – Athelstone of their Tee-Pee Reading Area. A few members contributed to the build once the specifications were set. A big thank you should go to Kevin Jacka for the hours during construction.

Photo shows ready for delivery on the trailer (we had to borrow a trailer) and finally the position at the kindergarten. Kevin Jacka, Trevor Goldsmith, Grant Slatter & some helpful guys who lifted the TeePee off the trailer to its final location.

This frame above was made by Judy Hayes for the St Monica’s Catholic Church School for a plate that was donated by Calgary Hospital. The hospital has asked us to review & offer to build some picture frames of a similar design.
